Grief hits hard,
like a freight train,
leaving you scattered.
Your Mother, your anchor,
Your world spinning and empty.
But move forward,
step by step,
a sad dance in the twilight
Remember her smile,
her laugh,
live for her,
live for you.
Grieve, but don't drown,
in the beats of your heart,
in the breath of your lungs,
she's there.
Keep going,
for her,
for you.
She's in heaven now making sad angels happy
And smiling down on us
And maybe in the softness of a dream we can laugh again.
For now she is with her god
And he can marvel with delight at his creation
